Sadly 3 years ago a beautiful little girl from one of the Acacia Hill centres passed away from childhood cancer, our Daycare Angel. Imogen fought a tough battle and was given her Angel wings on 1st May 2010. Since Imogen’s passing her mum has worked tirelessly to give back to those who helped them. Fiona (Imogen’s mum) would like your help by purchasing one of her ‘ladybirds’ for the Make-A-Wish-Foundation.
At Acacia Hill, we are always proud of the work that all of our educators undertake, however every now and then we get an opportunity to single some out for special attention… the recent awards has given us an opportunity to highlight some exceptional achievements. (more…)
Recently Acacia Hill had all 6 Childcare Centres nominated in the Australian Childcare Week Awards across multiple categories, we are pleased to say we all centres made it to “finalists” in their categories. Humpty Dumpty Childcare Centre, Ballajura Childcare Centre, Kelmscott Childcare Centre and Bassendean Childcare Centre all won State awards for their efforts – (check out our blog in the new year for all the details of the winning activities).

Recently we had a great team day out at the City to Surf, most of us took on the 4km run/walk, while a few brave folks took on the 12km run/walk. The weather was excellent and we enjoyed a good breakfast after the event. The talk at breakfast was focused on tackling next years event, going faster or further.
